Grenada Goes Cat Crazy!

The Grenada base of Horizon Yacht Charters our bareboat provider now has seven catamarans to offer our clients.

The fabulous Lagoon 440 catamaran joined the charter fleet earlier this year and together with the six other catamarans on offer there is sure to be one to suit your charter needs. These yachts are a perfect charter platform for exploring the Grenadines golden sand beaches, un-spoilt bays and crystal clear waters. 

THE FLEET

All these boats will be available for charter for the 2010 season, so please check rates on the following pages and then availability with us.  We will be able to offering extra discounts for group bookings and repeat clients, as well as to clients who refer us to their friends after they have sailed with us, bonus days onboard. 

This Bavaria 38 two cabin version offers spacious and comfortable cruising on a well-designed yacht. With all her control lines led aft to the roomy and accommodating teak-laid cockpit, she is light on the helm and rewarding to sail. Her wide foredeck and clear sidedecks enable the crew to move around with ease.

There is a huge double forward cabin with a settee, ample floor space and plenty of stowage to include a hanging locker. Aft to starboard is the second double cabin with hanging locker space. Both cabins have good ventilation with opening hatches. Headroom is good in the cabins as well as in the spacious and airy saloon. The saloon is furnished with a nicely crafted table, which will seat six adults comfortably. The conventional galley with its good stowage and work surfaces is well positioned to the port of the companionway and forward of the sizeable heads compartment.  This yacht comes fully equipped with CD stereo system, GPS, inverter and electric windlass.

Couple a gentle 13 knot breeze with this yacht's deep lead keel and fully battened main and you will be well rewarded when you unroll her genoa and find yourself powering along with style at 7.5 knots!

Sleek and stylish, the Bavaria 39 combines the performance sailing you've come to expect from this prestigious yacht manufacturer with a light, roomy and comfortable interior. The master suite is located forward with its own head and shower and the two double cabins, served with a separate head and shower, are aft of the saloon. The saloon area incorporates an exceptional 6' 7" headroom, a large seating arrangement and a spacious galley with a two burner stove, twelve volt fridge and plenty of storage.

The Bavaria 39 is an exhilarating yacht designed to be fast, safe and comfortable. Featuring a full-battened mainsail, roller-furling Genoa, single-line reefing and autopilot, this yacht can be sailed short-handed with ease. Coupled with an upgraded 40hp engine, you know that you can be everywhere you want to be under any conditions and have fun doing it. We are also fitting this boat with a lead keel which gives her a blistering pace upwind compared with the competition! This brand new Bavaria joining the fleet has twin wheels offering a choice of steering positions and allowing for excellent cockpit access from the stern. Three double cabins and a bunk cabin provide  great versatility in accommodation - ideal for a large family group or for skippered charters. The galley  is situated in the portside of the large saloon and is perfectly equipped for charter. On deck the fully battened Stackpack main, 130% genoa and deep lead keel gives this boat sensational performance. Whether racing round the island or passage making to the Tobago Cays this yacht will be very rewarding to sail.

Built as a luxury yacht in the JEANNEAU tradition, the 40 is designed to ensure maximum comfort and safety without compromising her admirable sailing characteristics. She offers the best of both worlds: the forecabin has a queen-size 'V' berth with starboard settee next to a large hanging locker with an ensuite head and shower. The two comfortable double aft cabins can also be configured to create an impressive oversized double cabin. A spacious head and shower with direct access from the aft port cabin or from the salon serves the aft cabins.

Relax in the more classic aesthetics and enjoyable helming position of an aft cockpit yacht. A large custom bimini ensures a cool cockpit to relax in under sail or at anchor, and a folding cockpit table allows for convivial al fresco dining. Guests can soak up the warmth of the sun on the foredeck or cool down in the tropical waters, accessed from the aft swim platform.

Her well thought out air conditioned interior layout provides for four spacious and private double berth staterooms, each with ensuite shower and head. The open plan galley is set out in the bridge deck and comes well equipped with a microwave oven, Force 10 four burner stove, mechanical refrigeration system providing excellent cooling to the freezer box. The 12V refrigerator box is separate to minimize the opening of the freezer. There are ample work surfaces allowing for uncluttered food preparation.
